The Guidelines for an Energy Transition Plan by 2030, approved by Resolution No. 1036/2021, propose an escalation of the participation of renewable energies until it reaches at least 20%. In a scenario that contemplates current national capacities, achieving that percentage would imply incorporating a total of 8,700 MW. If they are considered to be incorporated at a faster rate, renewables could reach up to 30%, adding 11,875 MW by 2030.
“Regardless of the volume that is awarded in the new tender, it is a great step to give way to renewables to replace power and energy that have contributed significant costs to the system for several years.
